I have just performed an update of the web site authoring system that I use, called Wordpress. You should not really notice anything new on the front end, but if you do see something acting weird, drop me a note.

  • As mentioned a few posts ago, I am re-organizing the structure of the web site so that Andrée’s site will be at the root of nayanna.biz. Therefore, I have moved my blog to http://yannickcorner.nayanna.biz and my RSS feed is now at http://yannickcorner.nayanna.biz/feed/rss2. Please update your bookmarks and RSS readers.

There are currently some redirection pages in place so things will still work if you use the old links but this will change in the next couple of weeks.

  • I have just upgraded the site to Wordpress 2.0, the latest version of a great content management system that I have been using to run this site for over a year. The upgrade went pretty smoothly, except for some minor imcompatibility with the plugin that I am using to provided versions of my posts in multiple languages. This is why you currently see two languages in the titles. Let me know if you hit any other problem.

  • You might have noticed that Nayanna.biz was offline during the long Thanksgiving week-end (Canadian Thanksgiving that is). This was due to a server change on my hosting service that I was not aware of. I have reconfigured everything and the whole site should now be up and running.

While I was working on the site, we have now moved our Photo Album to be seen directly on our web server. They were previously on a free server in the UK which is why there were ads on the side. All pictures are now hosted on flickr, a Yahoo service. Not all pictures are there yet but they will be soon.

  • Once again, I got tired of my weblog’s design and went searching online for a new theme and just fell in love with this one when I saw it. Most of the site is now working under the new theme, except the Recipe Book. Kudos to Erik Poehler for the great theme with nice artwork and a very slick look. It was very easy for me to drop in my blue bridge picture in the header and tailor the site to my needs.

If you notice any problems with the site, drop me a note by clicking on my name at the bottom of the page.

  • After seeing some of the designs in the 2005 Wordpress theme competition, I was inspired to do some changes on my own weblog. So you’ll see the site now sports a new color palette and some new CSS elements.

  • The web site for nayanna.biz has changed slightly. If you are seeing things that don’t quite look right, hold down your Shift key and click the refresh button of your browser. This will download the latest version of all of the files.

  • Downtime

The site was down for a few hours due to a configuration problem on the web server. Sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused you.

  • Wordpress, the great software that I have used to manage this web site’s contents, has just released version 1.2. They have included a new Permalinks method that does not require having an .htaccess file, so that solves the one problem I had with the previous release. If you see anything not working correctly, just drop me a note.
