François Pérusse DVD
François Pérusse, the french humorist, is releasing a DVD containing the best segments from the two TV series that he worked on, namely ‘Le série du peuple’ and ‘Le Jour’nul’. This DVD will be released on November 16th and should have a price tag similar to a CD according to the author. A lot of fun in perspective
Barenaked Ladies back with Christmas Songs
The newest Barenaked Ladies CD has been announced for release on October 5th. Titled “Barenaked for the Holidays“, it will contain 20 classic holiday-season tracks. Having heard some of the Christmas songs they recorded previously, this should be a fun CD to listen to.
Delay in Omerta – Season 1 Release
The release of Omertà on DVD has been delayed from September 14th to September 21st. Not that big of a change, but still a bit longer to wait before it arrives.
Disappointment in Father of the Bride
One of the new TV shows that looked interesting this fall was Father of the Bride, a computer-animated sitcom starring the animals that Siegfried and Roy use for their Las Vegas shows. The lead character, Larry the lion, is voiced by John Goodman. The animation is superb, but the humor is questionable. Quite a few gags are for a very mature public and others are plain stupid, making you wonder if they were written by a grade-school student. Too bad. We could have used a good new animated sitcom.
Mystère de la Chambre Jaune
My latest DVD review for the movie ‘Le Mystère de la Chambre Jaune’ has just been published on uneporte.net. It was a good french mystery movie based on a novel by french novelist Gaston Leroux. Check it out.
