Back from Seattle
Well, I just spent the last week on the West Coast in the city of Seattle, giving a class at a customer site. Seattle was a nice city, although a bit smaller than I was expecting. I visited the sights on Sunday, got on top of the Space Needle and looked around the town. My next trip is to Ottawa. Until then, some vacation time and painting the baby room.
Dave Matthews Band releases new live CD/DVD Combination
The Dave Matthews Band has been quite productive in releasing live materials on DVD over the last few years. After the single-disc Listener Supported and Live at Boulder Field, and the double-disc Live in Central Park, we now find them in a two CD and one DVD package containing footage and music from a three-day concert series done at the Gorge, an outdoor scene located on the west coast of the United States. “The Gorge” from the Dave Matthews Band goes on sale on June 29th.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
I just saw the new Harry Potter movie yesterday. I enjoyed it quite a bit, but I would be careful if you’re thinking of bringing kids there with you. The movie’s atmosphere is much darker than the first two movies, reflecting faithfully the tone of the book. I have not actually had the time to read the third book yet but plan on doing so soon now to enjoy all of the additional information that was not in the film.
